Week's Charts

Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing.

This section has a few charts in order to give you a better idea of the methodology. Losing trades are "doinks", scratch/break-even trades are noted that way and all other trades are winning trades. Partial exits are identified by an "X" while horizontal red/blue lines indicate where the position was closed. Yellow segments indicate entry points. You can only show so much detail on a chart before it becomes a mess so I try and find a happy medium.

A typical week for any given market will have 1-2 days that are trendy/volatile, 2-3 where there's movement but nothing much really happens, and at least 1 that is pure garbage. When it comes to the stock indexes though, it is not uncommon to have 1 day where there's movement but nothing much happens, and 4 days that are pure garbage. This is why I strongly recommend watching a basket of markets instead of focusing on just one because it makes no sense to me to watch one market churn while others are moving or trending nicely. And for you folks that are only looking to trade ES and/or YM, well, you're on a path that leads only to the liquidity pool.

The charts below are from markets that were active that day. When a market is volatile/trendy you should experience very few losers and many winners, and vice versa. As a result you aren't going to see many losers on these charts. That's not to say I don't have them, everyone does. It just means that my focus for any day is going to be where the action is and naturally I'm going to post those charts here. I'm also guessing that you would rather see charts that show the methods in action versus charts that show a market churning sideways with no trades or a single loser/scratch/small winner.

Required Regulatory Reading
NFA REGULATIONS REQUIRE DISCLOSURE OF THE FACT THAT WHILE THESE METHODS MAY HAVE WORKED IN THE PAST, PAST RESULTS ARE NOT NECESSARILY INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS. WHILE THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR PROFITS THERE IS ALSO A RISK OF LOSS. A LOSS INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH TRADING FUTURES CONTRACTS CAN BE SIGNIFICANT. YOU SHOULD THEREFORE CAREFULLY CONSIDER WHETHER SUCH TRADING IS SUITABLE FOR YOU IN LIGHT OF YOUR FINANCIAL CONDITION SINCE ALL SPECULATIVE TRADING IS INHERENTLY RISKY AND SHOULD ONLY BE UNDERTAKEN BY INDIVIDUALS WITH ADEQUATE RISK CAPITAL.
