"Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right."
You won't find any hype, spin or promises of profitability in a short period of time here. Like any profession trading requires hard work, dedication, passion and discipline in order to be successful. If you're passionate about the lifestyle that trading for a living can provide instead of being passionate about the markets and trading in general, well, your already slim chances of success just decreased substantially.
There are no indicators or systems for sale here either. I'm not smart enough to figure out how to use indicators and I couldn't write a line of code to save my life. Nor do I use waves, forks, astrology, etc. for the same reason. However, I do use horizontal lines and the occasional trendline (even I can figure out how to use those). It is my firm belief that any method of trading needs to have its primary focus on PRICE, and that trading with a dependence upon squiggly lines is about as reliable as long-term weather forecasts, 'anal_yst' recommendations or media reports. I also believe that trading at its core is a very simple game (we make it complicated) and therefore you need to keep things SIMPLE in order to be successful.
Learning how to trade is a very involved and lengthy endeavor and one that is misunderstood by many. It's a process that can, and usually does, take years of trial and error before you find a way that works for you, and what works for one may not work for another. And every successful trader I know "invested" a large amount of money before finally "figuring it out". But it can be done if you invest the necessary time and effort and go into the process with the proper expectations.
